Dromard Camino Walk Committee is made up of members of Dromard Parish and Dromard GAA club. Dromard Parish are raising funds to support the Assisted Pilgrims Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes in May 2026. The Dromard Camino Walk Committee and the community are looking forward to welcoming you all to take part in the Camino which will take place Saturday 11th April 2026.

The routes will take walkers on a journey around the picturesque Dromard Parish, villages, and their environs and will cover 20km and an option of a shorter 10k route.

Dromard is a rural area in North Longford, set in the middle of unspoiled countryside. It is uniquely located in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands nestled between rolling drumlins, stunning woodlands, and countless lakes and rivers, and is where the three counties meet Longford, Cavan, and Leitrim. Dromard is a convenient base for tourists as it is within 90 minutes of Dublin Airport in the east and The Wild Atlantic Way to the west. It is also next to Ireland’s Ancient East Region. A perfect base for exploring any part of Ireland!

Ticket Details:

• Tickets will cover 20km and the shorter 10km walk and cost 50 Euro
• Tickets are non-refundable
• Book early and take note that the starting time is at 8am
• Please ensure that you have a reasonable level of fitness to complete the event (we really want everyone to enjoy it)
• All participants need to have purchased a ticket in advance, they must register on the morning of the event, and a signed consent form needs to accompany each registration
• Registration is at the Dromard GAA Sports Complex, Legga, Moyne, Co Longford, Eircode: N39 HF34
• Arrive early at registration so that you will be ready to go at 8am

Consent Form must be read, completed, signed and handed in at the registration on the day. Tickets are bought form the Event Master Website. Buying a ticket includes your activities for the days event as well as food, snacks and refreshments which are included in the ticket price.
